In the Dolomites you can access one of the most beautiful and unique climbing areas of the Alps directly in front of your accommodation.
The Dolomites are famous for their marvellous mountain scenery and they are a true adventure park for rock climbing enthusiasts. The excellent alpine schools of South Tyrol offer courses and help for everything that involves climbing, vie ferrate, alpine trekking tours and ice climbing on frozen waterfalls.
Rock climbing is one of the most beautiful alpine adventures, but it goes hand in hand with safety techniques. Climbing and a basic knowledge of how to use ropes, carabiners and safety equipment can be learned at the trainings of the alpine schools. Even children can learn how to use a rope in adventure camps for kids. In the Dolomites you can climb from spring to autumn, but for experienced climbers there are no limits even in winter.
Waterfalls turn into massive icefalls in winter. The Mecca of ice climbing in the Dolomites is in Vallunga, Corvara and underneath the Marmolada glacier.
